It’s butterflies galore in the formal garden in summer! Tortoiseshell butterfly: Aglais urticae

One of the core ideas for Lane End was to make a garden that wildlife would love and that dream has borne fruit in the form of the many different species that can be seen across the garden. Kids love exploring the site looking for beautiful butterflies, all sorts of bird life and some pretty hefty dragonflies, not to mention Imogen’s favourite type of ‘wildlife’, the cats!
