Unfortunately there is no pavement on Cherry Lane and it is dangerous for pedestrians. We would recommend the pleasant walk from Lymm via Booths Lane which takes approximately 30 minutes from Booths Lane. There is a well signposted track across the fields, starting from Boothshill farm. Please follow this link to see where you turn off from Booths Lane as it turns sharply to the right. The track goes to the south until it emerges at the roundabout at the end of Cherry Lane next to the motorway. Cross Cherry Lane with care and you will find Lane End Cottage Gardens on the other side of the earthen embankment in front of you.
You can also walk from Lymm Dam, via the Bongs. Starting from the bridge at the Southern end of the dam, head south along the right hand side of the stream, following the signs until you reach the A50. Turn right and keep on going until you reach some large green gates saying Poplar Park, then follow the footpath running parallel to the A50 but behind the earth bank. Keep going straight, keeping the earth bank on your left until you reach a crash barrier on the edge of a roundabout, then follow the path round to the right and you are on Old Cherry Lane, with the gardens half way along.
We ask that visitors car share when possible to maximise the available parking at the garden.
From Lymm, head up Cherry Lane towards the motorways. 100 metres before the roundabout, take a left onto Cherry Corner, immediately before the earthen embankment. Lane End Cottage Gardens is down the lane on your right and free car parking is available in Old Cherry Lane.
Coming from the motorway, follow signs to Lymm onto Cherry Lane (the B5158), go 100 metres down the road and then turn right onto Cherry Corner, just after the embankment. Turn right again onto Old Cherry Lane to find the gardens.
There are also two signs on Cherry Lane, whichever direction you are coming from.
