If you would like to create a beautiful willow sculpture of your own to display in your garden, please choose from the selection of courses below. The courses are all suitable for absolute beginners so come along and have fun.

Fancy making your very own fresh foliage wreath to hang on your door in the run up to Christmas? Our wreath making course will take you through the process in classes under Imogen’s tuition. This is one of our most popular courses at Lane End so book early to avoid disappointment.

Run by local artist Lesley Miller, this engaging course will see you create your very own glass decorations. Under her supervision, learn to cut and smooth glass then join together using copper foiling.
Unfortunately, this course isn’t suitable for children and we ask that you wear sturdy footwear. All other safety equipment, tools and tuition are included. Maximum four people per course.

Floral design workshops.

Hand tied arrangement.
Learn the professional way to care and condition cut flowers, and how to arrange them into a beautiful hand tied gift. As well as choosing from the flowers that Kate will bring with her, you will be cutting fresh from the gardens.
You will learn how to put the arrangement together and wrap it -just like a florist- before you take it home.
All materials, tuition and refreshments are included in the course cost of £60.
Flower Crown workshop.
This is a perfect summer workshop in the relaxed setting of the gardens. Kate will bring a suitable selection of flowers but we will supplement them from the cutting garden.
Come and learn a new skill and discover the pleasure of working with flowers.
All materials, tuition and refreshments are included in course cost of £45.

We welcome groups of artists and art classes to come and draw and paint in the gardens. Please contact Imogen to arrange a mutually convenient day, You will have the garden to yourselves to relax and enjoy and the large greenhouse to work in if wet.

An introduction to felting course
Textile artist Jude Beckett will teach you how to turn colourful wool fibres into a felted item that you can take home. Make a reversibowl, a 3D felt pod using the technique of wet felting, which is suitable for beginners. Places are limited to 8 people so be sure to book early.
